Who they are

The Queens Head has been a proud part of the community in Watnall since the 18th century; it is a friendly local pub which offers a range of home-cooked food and drinks including cask ales. In the summer, the highlight of the pub is the sunny beer garden, which boasts a kids play area, as well as a marquee for events such as their beer festival.

What the issue was

We have a long working relationship with the team at The Queens Head, and Vitty had refreshed their website previously. In 2018, they came to us requesting a redesigned site to reinvigorate their image, as well as making their food offering more prominent.

How we helped

For their original website, we arranged for some promotional photos to be taken in and around the pub, and have used these along with selected other images for the refreshed site. This imagery has lent a professional edge to the website and makes a change from the stock imagery which is commonly used on the website of pubs and restaurants.

For the refreshed website, we designed a layout which allowed sufficient room for imagery, as well as engaging the potential customers through features such as animated elements which add movement to the site on interaction, icon lists which give a quick overview, and a downloadable menu which showcases the food offering of the pub.

What happened next

Since we set the updated website live, it has been a crucial part of the marketing for the pub and has boosted business. The work that we have done has contributed to ensuring that this community asset is around for years to come.

Very professional and easy experience. Vitty establish exactly what you need and design the website around your business. The result is a tailored visually appealing site. Good value too. Would recommend to other businesses.
